1. Introduction to the Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics
The Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics (IACE) is a science and technology organization operating under the Law on Science and Technology and related documents, under the management of competent state agencies.
The Institute's objectives and activities aim to closely link scientific research, apply research results to practical activities, practice cultural and artistic performances, and advise individuals and organizations on economic, cultural, and artistic development. This contributes to improving the material and spiritual lives of people, meeting the needs of national development in the context of intensive international integration.
The Institute's guiding principle is "Respect for Law - Connect Potential - Increase Value – Develop Sustainably." The Institute has independent legal status, its own seal, separate accounts, and its headquarters in Hanoi. It can open representative offices and branches in all provinces and cities throughout the country as needed, in accordance with the law.
The Institute's main activities include business production relations, performing arts (music, drama, dance, singing, circus), other artistic research (visual arts, traditional crafts, glass sculpture, culinary arts, journalism, television, film arts, calligraphy), cultural theory, general cultural research, and activities related to economics, culture, and arts as regulated by law.
The Institute's functions and tasks include general research on business-production relations, economic issues, business and management, performing arts (music, drama, dance, singing, circus), other artistic research issues, cultural theory, general cultural research, studying foreign experiences in economic, cultural, and artistic development, and experimenting with contemporary cultural and artistic industrial models.
- Transferring research results on economics, culture, and art, and experimental models to interested organizations and individuals. Advising, participating, and linking to train, organize scientific seminars, scientific and technological information, and cooperation in the fields of economics, culture, and arts both domestically and internationally.
- Participating in training and joint training in economics, culture, and arts as permitted by law. Collaborating internationally to develop and implement research and training programs. Organizing workshops, conferences, exchanges, and cooperation among experts in economics, culture, and art. Advising on career orientation, economic, cultural, and artistic development programs and projects domestically and internationally.Collecting, processing, forecasting, storing, and communicating information on economics, culture, and art, and development achievements in these fields domestically and internationally. Publishing works based on research results and related activities of the Institute in accordance with the law.
- Conducting training, providing information services on economics, culture, and arts according to the needs of organizations and individuals. Coordinating cultural and artistic performances. Providing other services related to economics, culture, and arts as permitted by law.

2. Strengths of the Institute
- Activities in journalism, media, publishing, organizing events, brand and personal brand consulting on digital platforms, Marketing 4.0, creating effective media ecosystems, organizing specialized media events, workshops, seminars, contests, exhibitions, press bookings, television talk shows, press conferences, professional website design, building brand and personal identity sets, creating knowledge boards, Wikipedia declarations for community influencers, gift production, providing KOLs, KOCs, and other non-traditional media solutions are some of the strong activities of the Institute. The Institute has established a media ecosystem with the participation by over 100 reputable domestic and international press and media agencies.
- The Institute's artistic creation and performance activities are based on a robust team of artists, experts, and scientists with extensive experience in scientific research, education, training, and performance in professional art units inside and outside the military. With an experienced workforce, the Institute can handle all stages of artistic performance activities from scripting, narration, directing, choreography, musical instruments, composing works, singers, performing artists, makeup, fashion, sound recording, visual effects, sound, lighting, visual direction, filming, photography, MV production, television broadcasting, media to undertake artistic programs of various scales.
- Exclusive invention of ultra-durable, beautiful artistic glass paintings. The Institute has a team of skilled artisans with over 30 years of experience in the field of artistic glass paintings, capable of creating many economic and artistic works with high values. Notably, Distinguished Artisan Pham Hong Vinh, Deputy Director of the Institute, is referred to as the "wizard" of Vietnamese and world artistic glass paintings. He holds the exclusive invention of super-beautiful tempered glass paintings and is a Vietnamese winning the Archimedes Award for inventions in the Russian Federation in 2022.
In addition, the Institute has many strengths in visual arts, calligraphy, photography, culinary arts, and other art forms thanks to its assembly of experts and scientists in various fields.
3. Some Prominent Activities
- Monthly publication of the "Modern Culture" magazine to announce research results, applications, and activities of the Institute and its scientists and experts. The magazine also selectively introduces interesting articles on the topic of "Economics - Culture and Arts" from Vietnam and the world. The publication has an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) approved and is copyrighted at the Copyright Office - Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
- Some art programs organized by the Institute that left a special impression on art lovers in Hanoi and the country include: the art program "Vietnam Spring Colors 2024," the art program "Aspiration for Power and Prosperity," the art program "Son Tay - Scenic Land," and the art program "Lotus Love."
- The glass painting portrait of Uncle Ho assembled from thousands of lotus flowers and the portrait of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made from thousands of small photos are two special art pieces of the Institute, which are highly appreciated by many domestic and international media agencies, affirming multiple values, especially the message of spreading values associated with the lives and careers of two great men in the Ho Chi Minh era.
- The 500-page book "Professor Dao Duy Anh: From Revolutionary Scholar to Eminent Scholar," compiles writings by top Vietnamese scientists and historians to evaluate the great contributions to the revolutionary and scientific career of Professor Dao Duy Anh. This is a significant academic project, honoring a scholar with outstanding contributions in the 20th century in Vietnam, published by the Institute in collaboration with Dan Tri Publishing House.
- The Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024, held from July 12-16, 2024, in Hanoi, is a community cultural activity to honor the multifaceted values of the lotus flower to the cultural and spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. It encourages the exploitation and promotion of the lotus economy ecosystem as a driving force to promote trade-village products, OCOP products, and rural eco-tourism. The success of the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 has positively influenced economic, diplomatic, and cultural recognition of Vietnam on the international arena. From this success, it kickstarted a series of economic, cultural, and artistic activities in Hanoi and the whole country to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). The Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics is one of the units with many achievements contributing to the success of the Festival. Therefore, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to award a Certificate of Merit to journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen, Director of the Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics.
Currently, the Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics is coordinating the implementation of many economic, cultural, and artistic development projects with the Hanoi People's Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the International CIAT Organization, and many other central and local agencies nationwide.
It can be said that with the motto "Respect for Law - Connect Potential - Increase Value – Develop Sustainably," the Institute of Art, Culture, and Economics has and is having many practical activities contributing to building a modern, advanced Vietnamese economy, culture, and arts with strong and successful integration and development./.
